Prepare the boat for winter hibernation
Good preparation and care during the winter months ensures that weather conditions and non-use of the boat minimally damage the vital equipment of your boat.

ENGINE PRESERVATION (FOR SHIPS ON LAND)

Due to the impossibility of periodically starting the engine during the period of rest (winter), such engines need to be preserved to ensure lubrication and protect vital parts from the effects of low temperatures.

BOAT BATTERY CHECK AND CHARGE

Although at rest, batteries lose their capacity faster at low temperatures. Regular charging and inspection will prevent their self-discharge to the extent of damage and also extend the service life.

REGULAR BILGE INSPECTIONS

By regularly inspecting the bilge, it is possible to establish the occurrence of water penetration in a timely manner and thus prevent the destruction of equipment and sinking of the ship.

OPENING AND CLOSING UNDERWATER VALVES

Prolonged standing of the valve in one position favors the accumulation of limescale and leads to blockage of the valve. In case of water penetration, it will not be possible to close such a valve. By periodically opening and closing the valve, limescale build-up and valve blockage are prevented

STARTING THE ENGINE / GENERATOR ONCE A MONTH

Regular starting of the engine / generator in ships that are idle for a long time, significantly helps to maintain the lubrication of all vital parts and reduces the impact of moisture / condensate.
